Janice served on the Niagara Falls Arts & Culture Commission for six years.  In 1998, she spearheaded the revival of the Annual Hallowe’en Paint-Out – a fun morning event for Niagara Falls schoolchildren which allows them to showcase their artistic talents. Envisioning a way to create both a major award for young arts enthusiasts and an enduring link to a famous past member of the community, she pitched the idea of the James Cameron Cup to the Academy Award-winning film director and former Paint Out participant.   Mr. Cameron agreed, and the Cup was shipped to Niagara Falls from his California office.
